INFRARED SAUNA
An infrared sauna uses light rather than heat to warm, relax and help detoxify your body.
Traditional saunas use temperatures as high as 180 to 210 degrees F, which can be overwhelming, especially to those who are more sensitive to the heat. Infrared saunas use a much milder temperature environment of between 120 to 140 degrees F. However because the heat of infrared saunas travels much deeper into the body, it is able to cause a more vigorous sweat at a lower temperature and remove toxins, making it more effective in detoxification than an overly-hot traditional sauna room. As your body temperature heats up, it increases sweat production to cool itself. Then your heart works harder, pumping blood at a faster rate, boosting circulation.
This comfortable experience can help your body to detoxify without the extreme heat of a traditional sauna. With the added benefits of chromotherapy, regular infrared sauna sessions can induce—better sleep, relaxation, relief from sore muscles and stiff joints. This improved circulation also helps boost immunity and enhance skin health.

Please make sure you are well hydrated before, during and after your Infrared Sauna Therapy Session. It is advised not to eat at least one to two hours prior to your sauna session. Please refrain from using any chemicals or lotions prior to your sauna session. These items may block pores and affect perspiration as well as stain the wood of the sauna.
Q. IS THE SAUNA PRIVATE?
Yes, the sauna is located in its own room. There is a door which will have a ‘Treatment In Session’ sign, so you will not be interrupted during your session. Please be conscientious of clients in other treatment rooms by keeping a respectful volume while using the sauna and shower.
Q. WHAT DO I WEAR?
You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in the only limitations being the warm temperature, and we ask that there is a layer between you and the wood in the sauna at all times.
Q. WHAT IS PROVIDED?
We will provide you with multiple full size towels as well as a cool and moist towelette for a quick refresh after your session. As mentioned above, it is important to stay hydrated so we also provide some clean cups and filtered water. Please do your best to tidy up after yourself by using the towels and hampers provided for you.
Q. HOW DO I KNOW MY SESSION IS OVER?
There is a clock in the room for you to reference and someone from our team will knock 5 minutes prior, so you have time to change, refresh and leave time for our team clean up before our next visitor. Please be mindful that there may be other clients using the sauna after you are done, so it is important we try our best to mind the time.
Q. WHEN IS PAYMENT COLLECTED?
We require a credit card on file at the time of booking. We can either collect payment or charge your card on file when you arrive for your session, so that you can leave when you are ready, relaxed and not have to worry about the expenses.
Q. CAN I BOOK A SAUNA SESSION FOR TWO?
Contact us to share the sauna. You can e-mail or call us to book. If you’ve been here before, we just need the names of each client. For first time guests, we’ll need first and last names, an e-mail address, and phone number.
Q. IS THERE A SHOWER?
We have a shower located on the same floor as the sauna, just down the hall. You can rinse off and we only ask that you be mindful of our fifteen minute shower policy.
*Please note that any changes must be made within three hours of your appointment time and cancellations less then three hours will require full payment for the missed session.

While we continue our goal of offering valuable treatments for your continued wellness, this introduces a convenient method of payment. In consideration of Three Tides Wellness having a card on file offers assurances in cases of outstanding balances.
Your card will not be charged without prior notice.
It is not required to pay with the card on file. Credit, Debit, Cash and E-transfer will still be accepted at the time of service.
